BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

One 10-minute treatment–a few tiny injections–and within days there’s a noticeable improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, which can last up to 4 months. Results may vary.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time.

Restylane

Restylane is approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth. Restylane is the world’s most used, most studied cosmetic dermal filler, and has been used in over 70 countries and in more than 1.4 million treatments in the U.S.

Restylane is made of hyaluronic acid. In the human body, natural hyaluronic acid provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hydrophilic or “water loving” nature of the hyaluronic acid molecules in Restylane and Perlane and their three dimensional structure allows them to bind many times their own weight in water. As hyaluronic acid begins to degrade, each molecule binds to more water which helps maintain its volume for about six months.
